Swissy Come Back!!!!

In all this mind-numbing drama over Conan and Jay and "Pants on the Ground" (For the record, Terry recorded a demo of this, uh, song, but now this clown from AI has gone viral and Terry is still...Terry) it helps to remind everyone that Swissmiss still has HER time slot on Blogger.

Come back Swissy! We miss you! I miss you!

Don't let her tell you she's not online! She's been trash talking my Farmville on Facebook for the last week and her and I are engaged in a heavy duty snowball fight on Facebook as well! AND, she was in Zchat last Friday.

All, evidence she should come back. I think Ray is having Weekend Kneeler Jeopardy withdrawal.

Update 1/15/10: The pressure was too much! Swissy is back!

I heard she left St. Paul and joined the crew of the Caritas Love Boat replacing cruise director Julie McCoy for the Catholic Tours Group operating out of San Francisco. They were hiring chaplains recently as well. Unfortunately some didn't make the cut.

Well she's never going to come back if you keep throwing those, uhhhhh, well, yucky snowballs at her ;)

Yes during the recent Catholic news drought I have been studying up obscure Catholic facts for the Weekend Jeopardy bouts. I'm ready. Don't make this a waste for me, Swissie!

I've been busy doing laundry after the last snow ball fight got ugly.

And harvesting crops.

Geez, can't a girl have a little vacation. I just got DSL, but now have to reload the factory settings because my sound (processor, not sound card) is toast. Just got everything backed up to a flash drive. Say a prayer it all goes back together. Maybe I need those exorcism prayers.

I do think I'll have something for Weekend Kneeler Jeopardy, so be ready Ray.

Hey, Terry: Nobody asked ME to be chaplain on "the Love Boat"...this stinkin' winter weather is about to make me nutz (okay, increase the "nutz" factor!)...anybody got a clue how to get on the "list"??:<)!

Father: Forget it. You are too trad (meaning you actually want to bring the sacraments and the truth to the people), they'll throw you over board and that would make me sad and angry.

Cathy, that's it! Let's arrange a TRAD Love Boat cruise! Fr will be our chaplain of course...we'll have Mass every day (ad orientum? which way is East?) and of course you will be the activities director, Ray can be cap'n and Ter can be Tatoo..."look, boss, da plane, da plane." (Oh wait, that was another show, wasn't it?) :-P

(The cold is getting to us down here in teh south, too!)

Georgette: I'm in...just give me the dates...they don't let me get away with much around here, so I'll have to be "sneaky":<)!
And Cathy of Alex: Thank you. That was the best compliment you could give me. I pray to be such. I hope to God I will be a holy priest.

Alrighty then, the post is up.

A cruise sounds great, especially a Hawaiian one. Wonder what activities Father will come up with ;) I'm in as long as there is NO disco dancing.

BTW: I read Georgette's comment too quickly and thought Father was to be the activities director...found it interesting for a contemplative to be in this role! I think it would be fun.

swissmiss: Lots of fasting; lots of silence, or and some "centering prayer" in the mix:<)! Just kidding.
Just lots of rosaries.
And Br. Joseph here will be glad to lead everyone in all four sets of mysteries EVERY DAY!!!
Sounds like fun, yeah?
The full set of dvds on St. Theresa of Avila, St. Teresa of the Andes, and for a breather, "The Princess Bride"...

Oh, and not to scandalize anyone, but we heard Terry's version of "Pants on the Ground"...sang it all the way to our Oratory to set up this afternoon for our formation day tomorrow...isn't God GOOD!!:<)!

Gette: Fabulous idea. I'm SO in. Now we just need a boat...3 hour tour anyone!?!

Ter: Of course, would need to give the ship dance lessons daily. You know how he is when he doesn't get what he wants. We must all do according to the talents God gave us! Well, ok, Ter can be dance instructor anyway!

Ray: Shuffleboard and Competitive Twister. Watch out for him. Really.

Father: That sounds like a lovely cruise. However, as contemplatives, wouldn't you and Brother Joseph be in your cabins (except for the Sacraments) the entire trip? :-)

Mercifully, there will be no topless deck on this cruise! I have a horror story about that. Ok, never mind.

No hula hoops for me, but I do get the first polka with Swissie. A Swiss lady surely must be a champ at the polka!

I do have a minor ax to grind about the years first WKJ contest; I studied up on all the Catholic trivia that I could find and then she goes and throws a pagan Roman emperor at us. I knew the answer, but, as usual, even when I made a point to get there early, I was still too late.

Just to change the subject, I get really tired of these alphabet tests on Blogger.

We could do the cruise over Easter or Christmas or...Father aren't you released from your vow of silence during those periods? I can only imagine the pent up party animal that would be unleashed :) Over Christmas, we went caroling and sledding with the nearby hermits...think they had more fun than the kids.

Actually, if I could leave the kids at home for the cruise, the silence and prayer would be a vacation, a wonderful vacation, for me ;)

You're on the top of my dance card, although a waltz may be better...too many polka Masses still haunt me.

swissmiss: Don't have a vow of silence (I bet there are folks that wish I did!)...we "keep" silence during certain parts of each day.
As to "enclosure"...yeah, we try to keep that, also, but with such small numbers, we are "out" more than we would like.
This group would be a real "entertainment" for a cruise ship...
Unleashed, is exactly the right word.
So...better to stay in the cold and snow and slop and pray and try to be good...Sigh....
