The Fifth Age of Cathy?

I've been painting my basement stairwell over the last few days. It's been on my to-do list since I moved into the house 9 years ago. I held off, knowing it would be a difficult area to paint. It's mostly overhead work and Michelangelo I ain't! I, also, lack scaffolding which may make it easier. I should call my British friends as the Brits know scaffolding!

I woke up at 5 this morning for my, uh, needs and almost fell when I stepped out of bed. I was so sore all over. My low back, my arms, my feet, my neck, ow!

It occured to me "Hon, you ain't 25 anymore!"

That said; for what able body I DO possess I gave thanks to God. For having a home to paint, I gave thanks to God.

I feel your pain...going to tackle wallpaper border removal this week; mostly over my head. Ugh. Like you, I am thankful to have a home as well!

My Fall racquetball league starts Wedensday...Thursday morning will be a day of discovery, as I discover muscle groups I had forgotten about.

L: Oh, wallpaper! That takes me back! Been there don't miss that!

Ter: Can you spare those leftovers from your weekend party?

Larry: I think I would have to have a priest on "standby" if I attempted to play racquetball. I used to play tennis when I was in better shape. A buddy wants me to start up with her again; so far I've succesfully avoided playing. I think even tossing the ball up to serve would break something-not a point!

Poor Cath. Been there, done that. The best thing for those aches: hot bath with epsom salts in the water! As hot as you can stand it. And ibuprofen and a good masseuse if you got one!

Isn't it awful how age sneaks up on ya? Inside my head, I'm still in my 30's. But every now and then, I get a reminder that it simply ain't so.
