Dark Night of the Blog

I have nothing to blog about these days and am not feeling inspired so here it is-lame.

I will mention, because I know you live only to read about my wasted life (ok, that was hostile, sorry), that I'm mired in serious sin right now and can't get to a Confessional fast enough. True to myself, I sinned big time over the weekend-that old vacation from Christ package deal!

I wish I could be as true to the Lord as I am consistent in sin. I shouldn't wish it; I should pray on it and live it.

In other news, I'm starting a Paypal account to take contributions for Nazareth Priest while he's here this weekend because apparently a big hug and a smile are not enough. A minimum stipend is in his publicity materials; but he wants us to know he is avaiable for conferences and retreats!

Meow, kidding! LOL! Nazareth Priest is cool and I'm ribbing another priest who will now probably ban me from his chat room! I'm wondering at what point I became Terry? Hey, it's Wacky Wednesday!

What other inane babble can I come up with?

Oh, June is the month of the Sacred Heart which is a point of Catholic pride but not Pride, you dig?

I love how honest you are with your self an others with your struggles with sin. I wish my Parrish had confession daily cause I know I could sure use it at time, with my struggles with sin. And by the way I don't find you post boring but rather informative.

You are not alone, and around here Confession is scheduled 4-5 PM Saturday's only. The thing to remember is that in the Stations of the Cross Christ falls 3 times, but few notice that He also had to recover and stand again 3 times.

I'm with you, Cathy - I need to get to confession too. Keep me in your prayers, as I will you in mine.

I'm finding it hard to blog too. My life just isn't that exciting and I am just not that insightful. And I just found out that loqaciousnes is one of 44 daughters of the capital sins!

Uh...I spelled that wrong.

loquaciousness

*sigh*

Can you call your priest and make an appointment to go before Saturday? If you don't mind going face to face, that is. (Which I do not like to do, btw. I just suffer till Saturday...and pray I don't get hit by a bus before then!)

Oh, in the meantime, Cath, check out the TROLOLOL guy on youtube :) If that cheerful cornola-quotient-for-the-month doesn't boost your spirits, nothing will!

Lots of love and prayers,
Gette

Oh, and a great piece of news: you and Terry are on the 200 most popular Catholic blogs:

And, Angela M: my spiritual director gave me readings to do on "hope"... and to my utter horror, I found out that "loquasciousness" is a sign of "acedia"...the distaste for the spiritual life (yikes!)...read Josef Pieper's book on "Hope" for more info.
I'm reeling as I post!:<)!

Confession was cancelled tonight due to Chorale dinner!?! D'oh! I'll have to go tomorrow or Saturday. If I get up early, I know Fr. GW hears Confessions before his 8:00 a.m. Mass.

So, still as sinful and sorrowful as ever!

Father: Guess, those financial contributions Terry and I made to the list keeper really paid off! lol

Well I take back my joke then.

Seriously - the Father saw you coming and ran out to meet you - recall the parable of the prodigal son. I think that is what happens with us - and we get to confession at the next opportunity. God bless!

Cathy wrote,"I wish I could be as true to the Lord as I am consistent in sin"

Geese, I feel the same way. I get more depressed when I notice - after an episode that whenever I sin there's always at least one kid watching me and then confession's an additional penance because for some reason Father laughs at me during confession -without fail and then he usually yells at me (Because I bring a list)

Smokey Robinson sings- I'd better shop around. Terry says saint John of the cross said no shopping for confessors.

Cathy, I have to go to confession, too. It's been a while for me. Just writing about going gets my stomach butterflies going, even though I've gone many times before, and will probably go many times again.
