You Know You Are Trad When...

1) You recognize your priest only by the back of his head
2) You know your girlfriends by their chapel veils
3) If a missal or a prayer book(s) is left in a pew you know who they belong to

Anyone have anything to add? Keep it light and fun....

- you arrive early and stay after for prayer.

- you sit in or near the Pharisees Only seating section.

- you know all the Latin responses and hymns by heart.

- you have the ribbons correctly set in your well-used missal before you arrive for Mass

Your grandmother is named Mary, one of your aunts is named Mary, one of your sisters is named Mary and one of your daughters is named Mary. (OK, in my family substitute Catherine for Mary :)

Guilty! And proud of it. Except of course I don't have daughters. But can I substitute g-grandmoms and gg-grandmoms? And I have lots of Katherines too.

I thought of another

- You know you are a trad and you look up on the altar and notice that the boy servers all are wearing black socks with no shoes because their street shoes are too garish for the Mass.

I'm too negative to comment - but it's a good one.

You know you're Trad if you find yourself accidently genuflecting at the Incarnatus Est and at the end of Mass during the No (which I've done)
