Pinkie and the Brain!!!!!

I know some of you really can't wait for a photo of Pinkie's hair! Well, you'll just have to continue to wait! LOL! It is quite fabulous. A young gal where we got takeout was obsessed with Pinkie. I have to say that she saw me first though. Maybe I need to die my hair purple to compete with Miz Pink?

BTW, did Pinkie find her mind yet?

Oh, since The Cafeteria IS Closed does anyone know where I can get a sandwich with whatever I want on it? I hate ordering off a menu where I can't make the substitutions I want. Maybe I'll ask Terry!

I had a pretty good turkey and bacon and something on pretty good bread at Arby's this afternoon.

Off topic - but very serious - have you noticed how newsy Ray's blog is? I think his blog is much better than Cafeteria ever was. Seriously - Ray's posts are very informative.

Then, just to be true to form:

So what color is your hair these days Cath?

Thanks, Ter'

I didn't know anybody read me.

But I will report to you on Cathy's latest dye job. I might run into her at my semi-annual cultural excursion at O'Gara's pub. Most of my cultural excursions end up in a place like O'Gara's.

Ter: Same. If you can remember that far back?

Ray: I'll be there!

Ter: Your color was so great that I did not even recognize you. Anyone ever tell you that you look just like Dale Ahlquist? :-)

What are the Minnklings anyhow? I'm so out of the loop and all this happens right under my nose at O'Gara's...

If I had a computer and if I thought that it might answer questions like they do in science fiction stories, I might ask it "Oh, wise Multivac, supercomputer of all supercomputers, what is a Minnkling?"

And the omniscient Multivac would come back with: Minnkling is "a Minnesotan take-off on C.S. Lewis’ and J.R.R. Tolkien’s writer’s group The Inklings."

Spiritually headed by Tim Drake, Minnesotan and senior writer for the National Catholic Register, the Minnklings are a group of writers, mostly Catholic, that meets irregularly for readings and discussions of pending writing projects and resultant criticism, suggestions, sympathy and camaraderie.

We (I just joined, as did Cathy of Alex) for our most recent meeting that have most recently been held at O'Gara's in St. Paul, the spiritual home of Charles Schulz, creator of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. Although the Norski guy reported that the Schulz's true spiritual home is Spring Valley, WI.

Imagine, Schulz a cheesehead!

Dale Ahlquist, President of the American Chesterton Society, his son and his Norwegian aide de camp graced us with their presence tonight.
