Day of Penance
Today, marks the 35th Black Anniversary of the implementation of Roe v. Wade in the U.S. Please join me in doing something today to honor life in all its forms and make reparation for the tragic fact that, in our world, life is frequently disrespected.
Our Lady of Guadaloupe, pray for us!

Here's what I'm doing:
* fasting from 8pm last night until 8pm tonight, as an act of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion;
* praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet after morning Mass in reparation for the innocents murdered by abortion;
* in place of lunch, praying a Rosary imploring mercy for those who perform, commit, or facilitate abortions; and
* praying Evening Prayer with special intentions for an end to abortion.
For my pennance, I'd like to punch an abortionist in the nose. Unfortunatly I'v been told this isn't appropriate,
I'll think of something, though.
Redneck: Meeting violence with violence is sometimes tempting but not the answer. Pray instead or make yourself a big pain in the neck outside the abortuary with your signs and slogans!

It really is a dark day in U.S. history, isn't it? What is ironic (if I'm not mistaken) is that Norma McCorvey (Roe) is now a Catholic.
