Send the Kids Out of the Room

Terry doctored this photo on his blog. Below is the REAL undoctored image.

As frightening as it is, this is not a Halloween costume photo. This is a photo of Terry and Ray before Holy Mass. I think I need to start posting on appropriate Mass attire again. I don't know what Ter was thinking going off-the-shoulder this time of year. I don't know what Ray was thinking with that shirt-period.

Too bad it's not in color. I'm dying to know what this looked like!

I can envision Ray in powder blue or even magenta, with Terry in a soft yellow :)

Well, Terry's gonna have to be awful careful when he takes on Michael Bayly in the future.

No knocking TV's for you, kid!

I don't think my new bowler will go with that outfit.

Its mauve, SwissMiss! Kinda close to magenta. I tried to get it in Burnt Umber, my favorite color, but the fabric didn't come in that hue.

Sanctus, didn't your confessor warn you to develop those techniques for "keeping custody of the eyes?"

You don't like puffy shirts?

Ray: I'm glad you have the fashion sense not to pair the bowler with that shirt. If you are calling that a puffy shirt, I think the puff looks a little limp.

swissmiss: You realize you are tempting Vincenzo's creativity, right? LOL!

I don't see anything wrong with the way they're dressed, and I CERTAINLY wouldn't imagine they were involved in any sort of a protest.

Ma: I thought you had that eye surgery by now?

IS that a protest? A protest against good taste?

Boy, I'd like to watch Vincenzo work for a couple of hours. I can do a tiny bit with Photoshop, but nothing like that. Mostly cloning. But simple layers now and then.

The great thing about cloning is that you can't have the ability to draw straight lines because they look fake. But when I draw lines they are quite erratic and the "normal" human eye can't detect that they aren't natural. And if I increase the size to 800% when I work, similarly.

I guess I need to be careful what I wish for...AH, my eyes!!

You were very kind to give them more manly colors. I think you could call those manly anyway.

True movie trivia: Billy Wilder decided to shoot Some Like it Hot in black and white rather then color because he thought Lemmon and Curtis' makeup looked too horrifying in color.

Just thought this seems like an appropriate occasion to mention that tidbit.

cathy, is your job over yet?

And what are you wearing for the occasion? I hope it's better than what Terry and Ray have on.

Adoro: Wednesday the 24th is my last day. I'll be dressing as a liberated prisoner-ill fitting suit and $20 and a bus ticket in my pocket!

Wow...now that I see this in color...

I SAW that wedding party up in Alexandria, MN, back in 1995! Seriously! We were at a dive bar called "The Wharf", this wedding party came in, the men were wearing seafoam blue tuxes that looked like Ray's, the bridesmaids were wearing seafoam green, most of the wedding party was missing teeth, and they were all drunk. I think they had jugs of moonshine with them.

Adoro: LOL! Sometimes I think I need to get out more and then I read memory posts like yours and think: nah.

How scary is this? I know that bar you are talking about. I have not been to Alexandria in a long time so I don't know if it's still open or not.

I think it is...I know someone now attending Alexandria Community College for his 2 year Law Enf degree (and it sounds like my instructors from 1995 are still there, although frailer...but kicking butt just as hard!)
