I Think I Want to See Some I.D.

Caution. Several readers emailed me wondering who this "priest" is. I don't know and I am unable to verify his bona fides.

Blogging will continue to be light for a while. I'm beyond swamped trying to transition out of my current job.

May your job transition be as Blessed and Fruitful and for the Greater Glory of God as was Karol Wojtyla's, who also changed jobs on this day in 1978.

Peace and God Bless You

St.Catherine- you are both wise and prudent, exceeding in virtue to question this I.D. Some simple web research of the websites for the Catholic Dioceses of Sioux Falls (my home), Fargo, and Bismark all produce pages with priest listings.

The fourth Diocese in the Dakotas, Rapid City, does not have a public listing, but I suppose some additional research could be done: my parish's Official Catholic Directory Anno Domini 2000 does not list him. But if he truly is 31, that is not surprising.

I flipped through past issues of the Rapid City Diocesan Newspaper and found nothing. One ordination in 2006 (diaconate in 2005) but nothing from 2004-today.

My conclusion is no.

Additional reaction can be found on Catholic Cavemen.

richie: Thanks, sweetie, for that very kind sentiment.

Father: I make no claims to being either wise or prudent. I, definitely, make no claims to sainthood! Just ask my friends-LOL! Thanks for the input and the additional source material.

The Catholic Caveman doubts the so-called Father's credentials as well.

I seem to remember that impersonating a priest is a Mortal sin and an excommunicatable offense.

He's probably a spy for Cardinal Mahoney.

Well, I sent him a welcome and some suggestion as to where he could go to see some good wholesome Catholic blogs.

I used Google to find them, not having any in my sidebar's blogroll.

I thought his most current post eased off a bit. Give him a chance.

If he's fake, he'll get bored when people stop commenting.
