That's interesting. Yesterday I was looking at something that Matt Abbott had written. He's featured on Keyes' web page and I saw all kinds of "Keyes for Prexy" stuff. I wondered about it, but didn't have time to pursue it.

Well, there's a solid pro-life candidate.

I ADORE Alan Keyes! Hmm....maybe a ticket with him and Ron Paul, one as pres, the other as vice pres, might be the winner! (wishful thinking, but hey, you never know!)

Cathy,

Keyes is, without a doubt, the most magnetic speaker around (having seen him in person before, I can honestly say that nobody compares to him, either in terms of his dynamic delivery, or the force of his conscience).

However, I think he fares somewhat less well as a candidate. We have friends - staunch conservatives - who live in Chicago, who said that his run for the Senate last year was basically a joke. Now, I know there are extenuating circumstances for that, chief among which is getting into the race at the last minute, and not really living in the state.

Nonetheless, as much as I respect and admire Keyes, he has never won an election and, with all due respect, I don't think we can compare him to Mr. Lincoln in that regard. I think he runs a grave risk of diluting the potency of his message by his continued forays into various candidacies.

Mitchell: I agree that Mr. Keyes has flaws. But, I'm glad he's entering because it's another candidate option and he can, at least, get his issues on the table.

I'm still totally undecided on my candidate anyway. It's early. I was all Brownback for a while-now I'm not so sure. I don't agree with some of his positions on illegal immigrants.
