One More Soul

I was corresponding with Minnesota blogger, Sanctus Belle, this week and she pointed me towards this wonderful website called: One More Soul. It has info on NFP practitioners in your area if you input a zip code. Also, it has lots of good information on alternatives to "the pill" and the dangers of contraception.

Check it out!

I found this website to be a very timely piece of knowledge given the recent release of Lybrel

Locally, in the Twin Cities there are many excellent NFP providers/teachers. I am familiar with two types, but strongly recommend the Creighton Model. From my personal experience, I would recommend starting with:
Twin Cities NFP Center, Inc.
Phone: (651) 232-3088
NFP Model: CrM/PPVI (Creighton)
they could recommend someone in your area.
If you live in the Northern Suburbs (White Bear Lake area) and are looking for a practitioner, you can't beat
Janet Derosier FCP
Phone: (651) 407-3452
She is EXCELLENT, Top Notch.
The clinic we go to is AALPHA clinic in WBL. They are all excellent doctors (I was actually going to do a post about them!) They are all Catholic docs in the clinic. Highly recommended. They don't do things contrary to Catholicism and work with Janet and other practitioners who provide NFP out of their clinic. Get one foot in their clinic and you know you won't ever go to anywhere else.

There does seem to be a fair number of outstate providers/teachers also.

I have put them on the Stella Borealis Blogroll.

Good Post, Cathy.

Please include Dr. Marie-Paul Lockerd of Sacred Heart Mercy Healthcare in Jackson Minnesota(also my former boss). She is a sister-in-habit and is certified in Creighton Method. Also Dr. Leslie Ahlers of Waseca Medical Center - Mayo Health Care. Both top notch pro-life physicians!
