The Pope and The Witch Talkback is Tonight

Just a reminder: The Pope and The Witch's one and only talkback session is tonight, March 8th after the performance. It is open to the public. The performance ended around 10 p.m. the evening I attended.

I know of a few people who are planning to attend. Unfortunately, I can't be there but I will unite myself in spirit with those that are. I'm co-leading our parish soup supper this week and soup prep for tomorrow night's soups is this evening.

The play is at the Rarig Center on the West Bank in Minneapolis. There are directions on the U of MN website

If you attend, please let us know how it goes. Either post in my comments or post a link to your blog in my comments.

God Bless You.

I'll be there. I'm sure Jeremy Stanbery will be there.

I've been incommunicado today. My ISP has been down between 5:30 a.m. to about 4:30 p.m.; they installed a new server and something went wrong.

I had to go over to the St Paul Library to do a little research of some comments on the play from Cathy, Adoro, Jeremy, Father Z and some others.

You are welcome to discuss the play at my blog, which is lefty.

I think the right to mock religion should be defended. I do admit the Catholic response, hasn't been anything like the Islamists over the cartoons.

The newspaper said the Catholic Church leaders, have no desire for dialog.

My blog is left, with readers of all persuasions literally.

I was at both the play and the "talkback" session tonight and I have lived to tell about it!

Thanks, Jeremy! I just read your post on it and I may be sending you an e-mail later at work now.

God bless you, and way to shred the tripe that came your way.

renegade eye: The local Catholic church leaders did NOT say they had no desire for dialog. They went out of their way to dialog with the U before the play even started. What they did say was that they would not "call" for a protest of the play. After the play started the Archdiocesan spokesman said the Chancery would not send a representative to the talkback session. They were not invited to be on the panel anyway.

Jeremy: Thanks for being there. I heard you were strong last night. God Bless You.

Ray over at Stella Borealis (link in my sidebar) should have his story of the talkback session up-if his ongoing ISP problems have been resolved.

Hey! The brave anonymous who e-mailed Jeremy Stanbury also commented on my blog...the same stuff. What a clueless, uneducated and embittered human being.

You're likely next on his list, maybe I should post for him to save him the trouble??
