Feast of the Holy Innocents: Pray a Rosary

I know I'm posting this a little ahead of time but I know some of you are in much different time zones then I am.

Thursday December 28th is the Feast of the Holy Innocents.

What a powerful day to pray for an end to abortion.

Locally, on the 28th, the Knights of Columbus Council 397 will be praying the Rosary in front of the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic at 1965 Ford Parkway in St. Paul from Noon-1:00 p.m. CST (6:00 p.m. GMT).

I cannot attend. However, I plan to join with them spiritually and pray the Rosary at the same time from the confines of my office. Please join me if you can. If you are unable to pray the Rosary at exactly that time, please make an effort to pray a Rosary or pray for life on the Feast of the Holy Innocents.

Priests for Life has a powerful set of Pro-Life Reflections on the Mysteries. Here are the Luminous Mystery reflections.

What a deafening cry we could all raise together if we all prayed for the safety of the Holy Innocents tomorrow!

God Bless You.

Hey! You preempted me! I wrote a Holy Innocents post on Christmas Eve....

Although it's a bit different than yours. :-)

I will likely post it later this evening. We definitely must continue to pray for the end of the holocaust of the holy innocents in our own midst.

Adoro: Not at all. I can't wait to see your post. We can't highlight the massacre of the Innocent enough. The more bloggers the better.

Hey, that's my spot. I'll be in Highland Park for that one, all bundled up. During the summer I'm occasionally there by myself. It will be good to pray with others.

Thanks for letting me know, Cathy!

How did you know about this? Is there some website I should be monitoring. All I now about are the regular Saturday events in Robbinsdale sponsored by Holy Family Parish.

Oh, no! Angela, thanks a TON for catching that typo. Yes, yes, Holy Innocents and the Rosary events are tomorrow Thursday the 28th. I made the correction.

Anonymous: I found out about the K of C plan via the Church of St. Agnes bulletin: www.stagnes.net. I think St. Ambrose in Woodbury also has prayer events at the PP express clinic in Woodbury but I don't know what they are doing tomorrow. If you know of any other prayer events tomorrow please let me know and I will post them on my main page.

In Blogger's inimitable difficult style, I was the poster of the "Anonymous" comment of the other day.

I did make it over to Highland Park. It wasn't a huge crowd, maybe 30-40, moving in a circle on the sidewalk in front of the building. It was a good time, though, because there were lots of people coming and going, some no doubt as clients. The one "escort" was quite busy.

No St Paul Police or unusual numbers of security guards.

No hymns or prayers, just two rosaries, led by a 35sh, male layperson. 1 elderly nun. No other male or female religious. Only a couple of signs being held but neither gave an indication was to why this day a demonstration was being held. Pretty low key.

I guess it seems to me that every day appearances should be made at abortion facilities in honor of the "Holy Innocents."

Ray: It occured to me that Anonymous could have been you because I know you pray in front of PP on a regular basis. Thank you for your witness.
